Set-up: With a towel, or other long, flexible piece of cloth or material, lie face down on the ground. Grip the towel with both hands at slightly wider than shoulder width. Make sure the towel is taught between your hands.
Movement: Contracting through the muscles of your upper back, pull the towel down until it lightly grazes your chest. Return to the starting position under control, and maintaining the contraction in your upper back. As you pull, cue yourself to push your elbows down, which will increase involvement from the lats.
Emphasis: Do not raise your torso too far off the ground and avoid hyperextending in the low back. Brace through your core throughout the movement.
