I'm 49 years old and have recently gone through a divorce and in doing so became very depressed. I put on approximately 30 pounds of fat and in doing so put a huge strain on my body and social life. Each day I would get up in the morning and look in the mirror at myself and feel like I was the biggest looser on earth and I knew that I'd never meet a woman looking the way I did and I was really ready to just give up on life. I came down with a terrible cold and went to visit my doctor and after being told that I now had low testosterone, and high cholesterol decided I needed to make some drastic changes to my life so I bought a membership to a gym and began to work out a modest 2 days a week. I really didn't know what exercises to do and was really feeling a little overwhelmed with all the different information out there on the web. I was having a conversation with a co-worker who works out regularly and was asking his advise and he told me about your app. He mentioned that he has had great success wit it so I figured I'd give it a try. I'm amazed at how easy it is to use and how user friendly it is. I have been using it now for four months and have began going to the gym now 5 days a week and have lost an astounding 50 lbs of fat and have now gained 8 lbs of muscle. I am now able to look in the mirror each day and smile back at the man I've become. I'm so grateful for this great app and for all those that took the time to put it together it has helped me reach a small goal I had for myself and is helping me to achieve the body I've always dreamed of. With the excellent resources available through BodBot I'm possibly in the best physical health of my life. Over the last year of following the suggest exercises in BodBot my body is stronger, and practically fat free. Completing the BodBot exercises four to five times per week has my belt two inches tighter and body fat level at possibly the lowest point ever. At 56 years young and coming up on the fourth anniversary of heart valve and aorta replacement BodBot is helping me get in progressively better shape without risking the excellent work from my surgeon and his team. It offers the variety and challenge levels needed to keep me interested and inspired to keep total body exercise a regular lifestyle component.
I find the total body approach far better than the progressive resistance techniques used in teenage and early adult years. It's great to have the descriptions and videos in BodBot to learn new and get the most out of familiar exercises. The email and pop-up reminders are helpful motivators, especially on days where my motivation level for exercising is low. I appreciate how the exercises are adjusted when sessions are missed and the responsiveness of your team to questions and suggestions. It's amazing to experience how well the exercises work under the 50 pound or less limits set by my Doctor. Thanks to those exercises, I'm seeing greater levels of muscle definition throughout my body and realize that even a highly defined core is possible.
Overall, I'm very appreciative of the BodBot program and look forward to using it long term in building a maintaining a healthy body. It's easy to grow bored of so many other programs. That's not the case with BodBot. My hope is for your continued success and that your program will be available for many generations to know the excellent results that you make possible.

My name is Shawn. I was athletic in High School but let myself go a lot in the years after. I am a big guy. 6' 3" By age 33 I found myself weighing in at 460 lbs. I decided it was time to do something about it. Shortly after joining a gym and beginning my weight loss journey, a co-worker told me about a new web based training support program called Bodbot. SO after checking it out I decided to give it a try. I found it very useful. It helps me plan my workouts, keep a record of my weight, and many other features. One of the features I find incredibly helpful is the exercise library. It helps me keep track of the exercises I do and has many more that I can look through and try. Plus for every exercise is chart letting me know which muscle groups I am working for that particular exercise and a demonstration video to show me the correct way to perform the exercise. But that is only the beginning! To be honest, there are so many awesome features on Bodbot that I have not used all of them yet. However, the ones I am using are extremely useful. With the help of my Bodbot trainer and a lot of hard work, I have now lost 163 lbs! I am now down under 300 lbs and have lost 13 inches or 6 pant sizes off my waist. I have always wanted to write to you on how you have changed my life and have made it AWESOME(I really mean it when I say AWESOME). I have always been a fitness enthusiast and have been working out for quite some time, for the past 3 years to be precise. I am also an athlete and hence fitness is of prime importance to me.
I have always been working out hard but something that was missing was proper guidance and motivation, and that made me fall short of optimum results. All this changed when I came across Bodbot. This year, my brother was diagnosed with diabetes, and one reason for it was his lack of exercising. He was over-weight.I could not blame him as he never used to get time to go to the gym due to his work commitments. He used to work for 14 hrs a day and naturally did not have the will to later go to the gym and workout. I wanted to change that, so I introduced him to Bodbot. I signed on with BodBot in October of 2012. At the time, my fitness levels had gotten away from me. My weight had ballooned to 267 pounds, and I had cancelled my fitness club membership. I didn't feel healthy or confident. I was not in a good place.
I set a goal to work out in my apartment, using BodBot for guidance. I would get down to 205 pounds by my birthday in January. I began to design daily workouts, following instructions, adjusting reps and times, as needed.
My only resources were an old weight set in my apartment and a tiny fitness room with a treadmill and an old stairmaster. I found a weekly 5 K run that I could participate in for free. I had a jump rope and some med balls, as well. I didn't spend any money on new equipment or memberships.
After the first couple weeks, the exercises started to take hold, and I fell into a routine. The flexibility of the workouts combined with built in "off days" allowed me to keep it going and not burn out early on. By December I had gotten down to 240. By January I was around 230, and cut to 225 by my birthday. I cut off water weight and managed to get down to 215 at one point.
I had to lose my fat-boy clothes. I remember picking up a 45 pound plate from my weight set and realizing that, through Bodbot, I had lost THAT much weight in only four months time. My performance on the 5K run went from walk / jogging in 57 minutes to finishing in around 32 minutes. My flexibility improved and I maintained my strength on 1 Rep Max Lifts. I learned a lot about the different training disciplines.
Now, several months later, I am still at 220-225 and am active in tennis and martial arts training. I have a much better grasp on my weight and could cut to 205, if needed. My most recent physical was in July and I was much healthier in body composition, resting heart rate, and blood pressure. I have also started my own business and am feeling much better in day-to-day activities.
BodBot helped transform my body, health and overall fitness. It positively impacted my life, and I was able to do it without spending on any memberships or new equipment.

I want to thank you for what you've created here in Bodbot. It's given me the inspiration to get back on track. I am a Nationally Certified Personal Trainer who has fallen off the wagon so to speak. I went from a few hundred clients over a time span of about 4 years to zero clients. It's sounds crazy I know. I gained at least 60 lbs of fat, lost plenty of lean muscle and blamed both my wife and our children at the time.
I went thru plenty of apps on my android, and looked at quite a few different regimens that other trainers and other people put up on different forums and sites but none of it kept me on track.
I don't recall where I found bodbot initially, but, the way you guys have everything set up is simple, easy to use, and very informative. Although... most of the stuff here I already knew... the way everything is set up sparked that fuse for me. Not sure if it's the repetitive emails and reminders that kept me looking at this site and app but whatever it was or is... you guys did it right.
Now don't get me wrong... I still slacked... but over the past 2 months I've delved deep into fitness again because of your constant reminders. I've hit consistently at the gym and have gone from 33% body fat to 22% (last time I checked). I've gone pretty extreme and your food tracker really helps when I need to eat and I want to go for that HUGE bag of Doritos or that Burger King Bacon burger.... It reminds me I have a goal. For that, I thank you both.
I hope to be back to my 12% body fat sooner than later (If I could just keep those sprints consistent... talk about a love/hate relationship). My soon to be brother in law is coming from New York in a few short months to marry my sister. He's a trainer as well and I hope that we will both soon have our own personal training gym in order to help people just as you've helped me.
Most importantly tho, you've helped me to have more energy and more of an ability to play with my little girls at home. To be able to run and chase them around and play at the park without sounding like a long time smoker suffocating from the lack of lung capacity to carry myself to the swings is one of the most valuable things I will cherish. For that... I thank you!
When I first started using BodBot, I had one mission. To get a better body and to increase my stamina. I constantly use BodBot, it fits around my needs and wants perfectly, each and every update helps with the flow of getting my work outs finished. I may not participate in the BodBot points all the time, however it gives me spot on exercises whenever I need them, it's a app I'll never see gone. As too how BodBot helped change my life. Before BodBot, I was only able to walk a mile, now I am able to run over 5 miles without needing to stop, if that isn't a great improvement to my stamina I don't know what is. I have lost 5 inches to my waist line, and not only that my fiancee loves my body, along with the added benefits that fulfill her needs. I'm a better person, and with that also smarter in my work outs. The perfect step by step explanation of each and every work out it suggests fits perfects for what I need done. I can't recall exactly how long I have been using Bodbot, but I'm sure you guys can tell me. It all began (great story start!) when I was shopping around on Google Play Store for an app that would help me with my goal of becoming stronger.
I have been working desk jobs my entire working life (15+ years) and never gave much thought to being active, let alone being strong. However, last year, new to Canada and new to my husband's house, I discovered that I wasn't very strong. I never gave it much thought until I had to move furniture to clean the house and found that I invariably needed his help to do so, even though much of the furniture is on casters. I have always been self-sufficient, and needing help to do my housework was entirely new and somewhat sobering. Here I was, over 35 and unable to move furniture! Such a mundane task, and yet it became the driving force behind my search for something that would help me train to be stronger.
While searching among the apps, reading user reviews and downloading the apps to see what they offered, I found Bodbot. Immediately I liked what I saw because it promised to take account of MY goals, MY equipment and MY body's limitations, rather than shoe-horning me into a process designed as "one-size fits all" (although that is not always a bad approach). Add to that the fact that it offered videos to help me with correct form, and I knew I was going to have to try this. Bodbot is also ultra-flexible, taking into account breaks due to illness or lack of time, and this is yet another feature that sold me on it.
Months later, I have the mobile app, and the Pro version of Bodbot, and look upon it as one of the very best investments I ever made in myself. I'm stronger, like I wanted to be, and my husband stands back in admiration and watches as I do without assistance many tasks I never thought possible. I look forward to growing with the app, and I talk about it to as many people as I think might benefit from it as I did. I can never say thanks enough.
I wish I had "before and after" photos of myself, but it never occurred to me to take pictures of myself to document my journey to strength and empowerment. However, I think these make fitting "before and after" photos for me: The weight I started lifting (15lbs) and the weight I am up to now (105lbs)
Since I heard from bodbot in fundable i knew is was going to be a great program. I have been working out since i was 12, and now at 35 I want to challenge my self with different routines, but I don't have patience with trainers. I have to admit I been using bodbot for workout ideas only, no as a trainer and always amaze me. I am a chiropractic physician with a medical weight loss department in my office. I encourage working out not only to help lose weight but most importantly to maintain the weight down and proper health. I give a great deal of information and in one of those documents I recommend joining bodbot, not only because is a great program and is been working for me, also because is an affordable one. Now i started to use bodbot as a trainer, changing the routines between gym and home and it works.

Man oh man, how do I start this story.
I ran cross country before I did swimming. I was noticeably stronger and faster, and I placed in the ECIC championships even after two debilitating ankle injuries. Between this and swim team I had a gap. Browsing the play store during a lull in school, I found an app called BodBot. Intrigued, I downloaded it. It was probably one of the best decisions I've made in my life. I set it at maximum intensity home workouts and set it for every day of the week, barring weekends so that I could recover. There were days that I cried and fainted I was in so much pain. But I didn't give up
Going into swimming, I was stronger than ever before due to the intensive bodyweights that I was put through. I won my race at the ECIC meet (the meet I dreamed of going to ever since freshman year). I think I started sobbing after I realized how far I'd come from 7th grade in swimming, and in life (but that's a different story).
Fast forward to now. I've been trying to work out every single day after swimming with protein shakes, and I'm seeing some very noticeable results. I'm weighing in at 155 pounds and 5'9. I know there's definitely room to improve (my goal is 165+ pounds before I'm happy) but I cannot tell you guys how thankful I am for providing me with this amazing way to start my day. I'd go on and on about how much Bodbot has helped me, but I'm sure you guys have other emails to read.
Hello, BodBot you guys truly help me keep the motivation to keep working out and I'm glad I discovered you. With your help I was able to lose over 45 pounds and I found coincidence one again in myself. I felt better about myself I was able to go to the gym and not feel people looking at me strangely. Without your help I wouldn't be the same so thank you guys for changing my life.
About a year ago, I got a job as a design engineer for a forging company, modelling aircraft parts. 8 hours a day, I sat in my cubicle eating snacks without end just to pass the time. When the lunch hour came around, I had fast food 4 days a week. Coming home, I ate more for dinner, then went straight to bed from being tired. About 3 months later, I began to realize that I was gaining a considerable amount of weight...and so did my friends. My midsection was bulging out my arms were not too short of being scrawny and I was out of breath doing the simplest things.
I decided to look up work out apps since I didnt want a gym membership and I stumbled upon BodBot. At first I didnt have much motivation because at the time, the hardest thing to do was to press the app icon. However, once I started, I realized it wasnt that bad at all. I started to use this app almost everyday, and along with it, healthier habits followed. I stopped snacking in the cubicle and started drinking lots and lots of water. After I got home from work, I didnt feel as tired anymore and worked out with BodBot on a daily basis. The app was customizable so that when the time was right, I increased the difficulty level. Initially I was only able to do 1 set of 10 pushups until I got tired. Now I can do 3 sets of 25 pushups without much of a problem. 10 pound dumbbells turned into 40 pound dumbbells, 1 mile turned into 3 miles, and 1 set of everything turned into 3-4. This definitely changed the way I looked and the way I feel. With my tansformation, it's hell of a lot better when I go road biking or play basketball. It's a crazy thought to think that I did this without a trainer or a gym membership. Im still a work in progress, but it's progress im proud of.
When I joined bod bot, I was looking for something to motivate me to keep going in my workouts, something to give me new ideas so i never got bored, and something that would show me what I needed to do for my body and what I wanted. I've always been thin so, not a lot shows as far as pictures go. But Bod Bot helped me to become fit enough that now I know that I can do whatever workout I set my mind to. My asthma is more under control, I sleep better, I don't get headaches as often. It is amazing the difference simple workouts can do, and Bod Bot helped me go from couch potato to fitness addict.

Bodbot has helped me lose a bunch of weight this past year and also has helped me learn more about what foods are good and in what quantities i can eat the bad ones.
I started out with bodbot at about 255lbs or so. I was skeptical because I don't like keeping track of what i eat and how much, it tends to take away from the pleasure of eating for me. My girlfriend convinced me to try it so I used Bodbot for about a month and saw amazing results. I dropped close to 10lbs within that month and haven't looked back. I am now hovering around 240lbs and really happy with the way i look and feel. I will go back to using bodbot when i make the commitment to get down to 230. Bodbot has really taught me about the food i eat. It has made me realize that putting food in my mouth and not thinking about it is the reason why i gained as much weight as i did (i was 6'4" 280lbs at this time last year). I am now able to plan what i eat around my workouts and therefore not feel guilty about eating a couple extra carbs on those days.
So thank you for creating this site, i have recommended it to many of my friends who have wanted to lose weight and will continue to use it.

I’ve lost a lot of weight since starting using bodbot back in October of last year. I don’t remember exactly what I weighed when I started, but I think I’ve lost about 20lbs total. I’m currently down to 205lbs and am in the best shape of my life! Thank you for all that you do to help keep me motivated and on-track! I couldn’t have done it without you!
I have lost about 15 pounds from my original weight of 145. Bod-Bot. The reason I started trying to become healthy is because my brother had End stage Renal disease. This is a condition where the kidneys are not functioning. My brother's kidneys were only functioning at about 10%. He was only able to consume foods with very low amounts of sodium. With this my I decided that i also must follow him in only consuming foods with low amounts of sodium so it would be less difficult for him. Since then we have both become healthier.
Bodbot is fantastic. Keeps me challenged. Keeps me focused. Takes the guesswork out of it for me. It's like having a personal trainer without the huge expense. My husband and I are huge fans and tell everyone about it! Thanks for making such an AWESOME website! Keep it coming!
